Responsabilities

• Technical execution of research projects related to all stages of the hydrogen value chain and associated technologies. Interaction in consortium meetings in English and Spanish.
• Preparation of national and international R&D&I project proposals, writing offers, reports and technical articles, search for scientific information, contributions to specialized conferences and technical conferences. Contact with clients.
• Analysis and interpretation of results, Preparation of reports, analysis and interpretation of results, making purchases and management of documentation associated with its activity integrating quality concepts.

Specific knowledge required

• Experience in executing energy management projects, renewable energy, alternative fuels, decarbonization processes, energy efficiency and/or sustainability.
• Experience in writing reports and/or scientific articles.
• Experience in participating in publicly funded R&D projects. Ability to generate projects in consortium or individually with companies.
• Own initiative, own resources, autonomy and proactivity.
• High capacity and aptitude for teamwork (helping others and cooperating in team tasks). Ability to synthesize both oral and written and critically evaluate data.
• Driving license

Estudios mínimos

• Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Bachelor’s Degree in Physics or related degrees.
• High level of English (C1)

Valuable

Master, Postgraduate/Doctorate related to the environment, renewable energies. Experience in carrying out materials characterization tests (alloys, polymers, etc.). Experience in technical execution of projects in the field of generation, storage, transportation and applications of green hydrogen. Experience with electrochemical hydrogen generation methodologies (electrolysis).

Accredited experience of at least 2 years in the functions described

Main Duties:

Be part of Advanced Composites Technology tema, the main duties will be:

• Development of R&D Projects on the field of composites: work plan definition, experimental trials control, results analysis, monitoring reports, deliverables and presentations.
• Continuous update on the State of the Art related with composites under the R&D projects.
• Congresses, conferences, and other scientific and dissemination events active attendee.
• Participation within National and European R&D project proposals: definition of technical approach, objectives, SoA and work plan.

Education

• Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or any other that contains materials science.
• Master / PhD / Postdoctoral in the field of composites.

Job specific skills

• Knowledge on polymeric matrix composites.
• Desirable deep knowledge on thermoplastic composites (properties, mechanical behavior) and manufacturing processes as press, injection, automated lay-up (AFP/ATL), and welding.
• Composites testing: common techniques and tests (physical, chemical, mechanical, thermal).
• Knowledge of the different R&D calls (National and European) mainly in Horizon Europe Program.

Functions:

Being part of the Calculation and Simulation Unit, your tasks will be:

• Carry out the design and analysis of static equipment, pipes, tanks, process columns, vessels and heat exchangers in petrochemical projects.
• Perform mechanical calculations using specialized engineering software. (PV elite, Abaqus/Ansys, Caesar II or similar).
• Guarantee compliance with regulations and quality standards established by regulatory bodies.
• Collaborate closely with other professionals in the engineering team to develop projects.
• Prepare and review data sheets for equipment, processes and technical specifications.

Senior researcher specialized in biotechnology and/or molecular biology to carry out the monitoring, management and technical execution of R&D&I projects through the application of microorganisms (bacteria, fungi, enzymes, yeasts, algae, etc.) for valorization of waste and/or the improvement of industrial processes.

Senior researcher specializing in water treatment to carry out the monitoring, management and technical execution of R&D&i projects with different technologies (membranes, biological, adsorption, electrochemical, nature-based solutions, etc.) for treatment wastewater, both urban and industrial, and drinking water, as well as the recovery of resources present in them (nutrients, metals, etc.).
