Senior mechanical engineer Oil&Gas sector

Functions:

Being part of the Calculation and Simulation Unit, your tasks will be:

• Carry out the design and analysis of static equipment, pipes, tanks, process columns, vessels and heat exchangers in petrochemical projects.
• Perform mechanical calculations using specialized engineering software. (PV elite, Abaqus/Ansys, Caesar II or similar).
• Guarantee compliance with regulations and quality standards established by regulatory bodies.
• Collaborate closely with other professionals in the engineering team to develop projects.
• Prepare and review data sheets for equipment, processes and technical specifications.
• Prepare reports and technical documentation related to assigned projects.
• Generate and review the documentation, plans and isometrics necessary for the execution of new projects or expansions and modifications of facilities.

Specific knowledge required

• Degree in Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or similar
• Provide a minimum of 4 years professional experience performing similar tasks.
• Previous experience in calculation and design of pressure equipment.
• Knowledge of PV Elite.
• Experience in finite elements (FEM, CFDs…)
• Knowledge of ASME VIII code.
• Knowledge of the Oil&Gas sector.
• Fitness for Service (FSS) Knowledge
• Experience in file management, reliability.
• Driver’s licence and your own car.

Valuable knowledge

• Postgraduate degrees related to the oil & gas sector.
• Management of CAESAR.
• Management of Abaqus/Ansys.
