ITG redoubles its commitment to hydrogen from marine sources to provide energy to the Atlantic ports

The objective of the HYDEA project, wich is financed by the Interreg Atlantic Area 2014-2020 Programme, is to evaluate, develop and promote the use of technologies based on green hydrogen from renewable energies (for example marine energy) in ports in the Atlantic Area.

To achieve this general objective, different specific objectives have been articulated that will help solve the following challenges: promote a clear role for hydrogen in the strategic energy plans of ports; increase knowledge about various hydrogen production technologies that are viable for use in ports; and implement technological demonstrators that attract the interest of investors towards viable business models.
