ATIGA at the forefront of Spain’s technological innovation at meetechSpain 2026
The alliance and its six member centres took part in meetechSpain 2026, the annual event organised by Fedit in Madrid, where ITG presented SkyGuard® and its solutions for automating aerial operations in critical environments.
Galician innovation was once again represented at meetechSpain 2026, the annual gathering of Spanish technology centres, held in Madrid on 14 and 15 October. Organised by the Spanish Federation of Technology Centres (Fedit), the event once again brought together research professionals, companies and institutions to share knowledge, showcase technological advances and explore new opportunities for collaboration.
ATIGA and its six member centres—AIMEN, ANFACO-CYTMA, CETIM, CTAG, Gradiant and ITG—were represented at this year’s event, strengthening their presence at one of the leading meeting points for Spain’s innovation ecosystem.
The ATIGA delegation included Jesús Lago, President of the alliance and Managing Director of AIMEN; Luis Pérez-Freire, Vice-President of ATIGA and CEO of Gradiant; Ana Paúl, Director of Technological Innovation at CTAG; Lucía Vázquez, Executive Director of CETIM; Adrián Rodríguez, Business Development Manager at CETIM; Raúl Urbano, Innovation Project Manager at CTAG; and Fernando Val, Managing Director of ATIGA.
ITG showcases its technological capabilities at Tech & Touch
One of the highlights of Galicia’s presence was ITG’s participation in Tech & Touch, the meetechSpain exhibition area dedicated to bringing innovation closer to the public through technology demonstrators and practical solutions.
At this venue, the A Coruña-based technology centre presented SkyGuard®, alongside other solutions developed by ITG Drone Solutions to automate aerial operations in critical environments.
Based on proprietary technologies, these solutions integrate autonomous systems, software and security within a single architecture, demonstrating the potential of aerial automation and its application in complex operational scenarios.
ITG’s participation clearly illustrates what defines technology centres: their ability to bridge the gap between research and the development of concrete, transferable solutions that can be applied by real-world businesses.
Technological cooperation to tackle future challenges
meetechSpain 2026 was held under the slogan Made in Spain, fit for other worlds, with human habitability beyond Earth serving as the central theme for exploring the state of the art in fields such as advanced materials, energy, robotics, artificial intelligence, biotechnology and the circular economy.
The programme combined strategic presentations and high-level debates with networking opportunities, technology demonstrations and a Technology Challenge, in which teams from different centres worked together to address real business challenges. Over the years, this format has turned the event into more than just a forum: it has become a space where collaboration between technology centres is put to the test in real time.
ATIGA’s participation in meetechSpain reflects the alliance’s commitment to inter-centre cooperation, knowledge transfer and strengthening industrial competitiveness. It is part of a broader effort to position Galician R&D&I capabilities—and their contribution to major technological challenges—at the forefront of Spain’s national debate.
