Cybersecurity Risk assessment and mitigation for connected and automated vehicles

The main objective of CRUSOE is to integrate cybersecurity requirements in the development of technologies associated with cooperative, connected and autonomous mobility. This is articulated through the application of accepted cybersecure design methodologies to 5G automotive fixed and mobile communication units, the identification of vulnerabilities in connected and autonomous vehicles, the development of countermeasures, the testing of these countermeasures in closed tracks and in the 5G cross-border corridor between Vigo and Porto, and the sharing of information and results with relevant agencies and actors at European level.

The integration of the different technologies covered by the project will contribute to obtain new lightweight, high quality materials with high production rates, reducing production costs, energy consumption and time to market, and consequently contributing to reduce CO2 emissions from vehicles (trucks, cars and railroads).
