RECONTRANS

The RECOTRANS project will create a new manufacturing system for obtaining multi-material metallic composites suitable for the transport industry: automotive, freight transport and railroad. The main objective of this project is to integrate non-conventional manufacturing technologies such as MW radiation (microwave) and laser bonding into existing RTM and pultrusion production lines.

The integration of the different technologies object of the project will contribute to obtain new lightweight, high quality materials with high production rates, reducing production costs, energy consumption and time to market, and consequently contributing to reduce CO2 emissions from vehicles (trucks, cars and railroads).
