The Cervera Program for technological centers, promoted by the Ministry of Science and Innovation and the Center for Industrial Technological Development (CDTI), has been designed to conduct applied research with a market-oriented approach.

Led by Gradiant and composed of Gradiant, Fidesol, Ikerlan, and Vicomtech, ÉGIDA is the first national network in security and privacy technologies formed by centers of technological excellence. It is also the only network in the Cervera program for technological centers of excellence led by a Galician center.

Open-VERSO is the national network of excellence in advanced mobile networks of the Cervera Program, in which Gradiant, I2Cat, and Vicomtech will design, implement, evaluate, and demonstrate the architecture of a comprehensive 5G network, evolving towards 6G technologies.

The purpose of the Cervera networks is to bring security, privacy, and connectivity technologies closer to businesses. In this way, technological centers and industries strengthen the national innovation system, positioning Spain at the forefront of the technological market in cybersecurity and connectivity. Another one of our objectives is the generation of qualified employment in R&D&I, promoting the attraction and retention of highly qualified national and international talent.

The Cervera Program, launched by the Ministry of Science and Innovation, represents a committed investment in R&D&I while playing an enabling role for Spanish technological centers to conduct market-oriented research.
